Pricing
DNS is provided at no charge for dedicated and shared server clients. This does not include any interaction with the NIC or any work involved with domain transfer or modification. It includes only configuration changes made to our name servers. This service is not provided for name-based virtual hosting. Only one Web site per IP address is permitted.

Procedure
DNS additions/modifications will only be made if the request comes from a valid contact for the server or domain. To request changes for a domain on one of your servers, please fill out the DNS Work Order Request Form at the bottom of this page. If you are using the newsite script to create domains on your server, the IP address you put in the form should be the same as the IP address you entered into newsite.

Timeframe
Name service requests are completed within one business day. When DNS changes are made, the effects are not immediate. Changes take place on our nameservers at 9 am, 12 noon, 6 pm, and 12 midnight.

Suggestions and Notes
If you are transferring a domain from another provider, here is the suggested procedure:

1. Move all Web data from your old server to the new server. Confirm that the site is operational by using the IP address in your Web browser - i.e. http://216.183..xxx.xxx.

    

2. Send mail to dnsadmin@webhaus.com requesting the name service change. Make sure to include the domain name and IP address.

    

3. Modify your domain registration with the company through which you originally registered. You will need to provide them with the following information:

    

   Primary Server Hostname:	NS1.WEBHAUS.COM
   Primary Server Address:	216.183.101.71
   Secondary Server Hostname:	NS2.WEBHAUS
   Secondary Server Address:	216.183.101.70

If you do the request this way, people will visit both servers for some period of time - Usually about 7 days. This is because some name servers on the internet will have cached entries for your Web site. Until these outdated entries expire, people will visit the old server as well as your WEBHAUS server.
